Thinkbox team successfully managed several migrations of the wifi infrastructure for one of our global clients from 802.11abg Standard to 802.11ac standard.
The successful migrations were completed for three regional offices in Europe (Finland, Sweden, and Italy) which is part of a bigger program to migrate more than 2000 WAPs in more than 40 countries.
The end of life Cisco hardware (1131 model WAPs) were replaced with the new 3602 model WAP with 802.11ac add on modules. The IOS level on the existing Wireless LAN Controller WLC has to be upgraded as well as part of the effort.
